The 'old' Tesco was big, busy and had a wide variety to choose from at competitive prices, The staff were fantastic and the store had a real community vibe, often staff knew customers and there was always chit chat and laughter, BUT.......this new Tesco Metro is small, understaffed and overly expensive, if you compare prices from a Tesco store to a Tesco Metro you will find the prices are at least 80p - £1 more expensive per item which is ridiculous! They do not sell any own brand savers items, so a 30p garlic baguette is now £2.25 extra special brand!!

All in all it's fine for a pint of milk or a loaf of bread but for a big shop, forget it, unless you have plenty of cash and time to spare!

Very disappointing experience since old Tesco Metro was replaced. Big mistake! By all means, who got this stupid idea? ! This store was booming before- now hardly 2-3 people at a time. I could do my weekly shopping in old store with great staff whom I knew for years and excellent choice of products. Now I hardly go there as prices are higher and food choices are very limited and often very odd, lots of frozen and ready made foods and miniscule choice for fresh produce. . I won't be surprised if one day it will be closed for good as it just became useless occupation of space!

Tried to call the store and voice message saying we can't take your call. Ridiculous store and often unhelpful staff.

I'd rather drive to the local Morrisons or Asda than pay these prices and be in a queue for 15 mins with staff that have no idea what they're doing (Well the majority, there's 2-3 friendly ladies)

The few staff that are there are lovely, but I only ever pop in for one or 2 things if I'm desperate. No decent selection of items like there used to be before it changed over. A real shame given how it used to be.

Why they decided to do away with the 'old' Tesco and replace it with a small overly expensive metro is beyond me!

Handy little Tescos to live by. Staff are friendly. They also try to serve quick during busy times by handling two tills per one person, which is always a good idea.
